Mafalda wants to tango

Hi, I’m Marie, the writer and tanguera behind Tanguera Travels!

And yes, I’m a bit camera-shy.

Once upon a time, before the pandemic, I was a part-time traveller with a mission to dance tango in as many places as possible. When I went on my first solo trip, in 2015, I started this blog to document my adventure and it slowly evolved from there. If you want to read more about that, or to read my 8 tips for going out to dance tango for beginners, check out my first post here.

Since starting this blog, I’ve danced in Australia, Thailand, Singapore , the Netherlands, Germany, France,  Poland, Uruguay, Argentina, Spain, Portugal and New Zealand.

I have also written a series of travel posts on many of the places I have visited. You can find these in the “Travels” menu at the top of the page.

Since neither tango nor travel have been possible for the past year or so, I have been focusing on my writing project, a collection of short stories inspired by tango. You can find out more about that here.

As we gradually, hopefully, emerge from this pandemic I will start posting more regularly again, about all things tango, travel and storytelling.

You can subscribe to my occasional newsletter here , or connect with me on Facebook, Twitter , Instagram or Pinterest. I’d love to hear fom you! .
